Introduction

In this webinar we will examine the power of PerkinElmer's latest in the NexION Series of ICP-MS: the NexION 5000 multi-quadrupole ICP-MS.

The NexION 5000 offers superior performance and flexibility when tackling almost any elemental determination. The flexibility derives from the utilization of four quadrupoles, and specifically the quadrupole in between the two analyzer quadrupoles - the Universal Cell with Dynamic Bandpass Tuning. This provides many modes of operation from routine analytical work to challenging sample matrices. During this presentation we will cover ICP-MS history that led to the current state-of-the-art technology, what each mode of operation is, when to use the mode, and examples of the BECs and DLs obtained from recent work with the NexION 5000.

Learning Objectives:

  • Overview of ICP-MS History
  • NexION 5000 Modes of Operation
  • Examples of modes of operation
  • Optimization data
  • BECs & DLs

Presented by: Aaron Hineman, Inorganic Product Line Leader, PerkinElmer Inc.
