Utilizing Precursor and Product Ion Scans as a Method Development Tool on the NexION 5000 ICP-MS

Introduction

This webinar will examine the power of precursor and product ion scans using PerkinElmer's NexION 5000 multi-quadrupole ICP-MS. Each scan mode offers a unique advantage when developing methods. Precursor ion scans are ideal for identifying possible interferences arising from complicated unknown sample matrices. Product ion scans are used to determine the reaction chemistry of a specific gas in PerkinElmer's unique Dynamic Reaction Cell. This chemistry is useful for either neutralizing plasma-based interferences or shifting target elements to a higher mass, where they are free from interference.
